Hy Richard!
Wollte Dir nur schnell sagen, dass ich die Hausaufgabe mit den Phrasal Verbs nicht gemacht hat. Die Lehrerin hat mir drunter geschrieben, dass sie sich wundert, dass ich diese vergleichsweise einfachen Hausaufgaben nicht gemacht habe. Da hab ich echt gedacht, dass die n Rad ab hat
Ich weiß übrigens, dass noch zwei weitere meiner Mitschüler die Hausaufgabe nicht haben, was hat sie denen wohl geschrieben???????

Na ja, wie dem auch sei. Ich lieg im Bett und hab 39 Fieber, mein Sohn ist Erkältet und brüllt die halbe Nacht.
Also auf Deutsch: Mir könnte es echt nicht besser gehen

Mir fällt einfach nicht mehr ein was eine Mittelsenkrechte ist

Alsoooo: Geben Sie die Gleichungen der Mittelsenkrechten des Dreiecks an (Es geht um ein Dreieck im Koordinatensystem). Boahh, was war das nochmal?

Dann noch: bestimmen Sie die Schnittpunkte aller Mittelsenkrechten.

Bestimmen Sie den Abstand des Schnittpunktes der Mittelsenkrechten von den Eckpunkten.

Vielleicht wißt Ihr nen Mathe-link für mich oder könnt ein paar Anmerkungen zu meinen (hoffentlich nicht zu konfusen) Fragen machen.

Das wäre echt super nett von Euch!!!

b) Er nimmt den Tisch und bringt ihn herbei.
Il prend la table et l'apporte.

c) Simone zahlt 83 Francs für das Buch.
Simone paye quatre-vingt-trois Francs pour le livre.

d) Er kauft Äpfel und ein kilo Orangen.
Il achète des pommes et un kilo d' oranges.

e) Heute hat die Marktfrau keine Kirschen.
La marchande n'a pas de cerises aujourd'hui.

f) Mme Dubois nimmt ein Glas Wein und trinkt (es).

in meiner Aufgabe stehen mehrere Satzteile durcheinander und ich soll einen Satz daraus formen. Aus Gründen der Ökonomie schreibe ich nur den fertigen Satz hin.
Es wäre ganz lieb, wenn Du mal schauen könntest ob die Sätze so richtig sind.

Hallo Richard!
Ich hab hier ne kleine Übung zum Teilungsartikel. In meinem Lehrmaterial ist das aber dermaßen schlecht erklärt, dass ich noch nicht genau durchblicke. Kannst Du mal schaun, welche Fehler sich in meiner Übung befinden? Alles was ich reingeschrieben habe ist groß geschrieben. Manche Akzente kann ich mit dem PC nicht schreiben.

Complétez!

Simone fait un gateau. Elle achète DU sucre, de la farine, du beurre, DES oeufs, DU lait et une boite de cerises.

À la maison, elle entre dans la cuisine et commence.

Elle prend 250 grammes de farine, 250 grammes de beurre, quatre oeufs, et 250 grammes de sucre. (250 gramm sind doch eine BESTIMMTE Menge und keine UNBESTIMMTE, muß ich da etwas anderes schreiben als Du oder DE LA??????) Ja! Nach Mengenangaben steht nur DE Elle prend aussi un verre DE lait. Elle ne prend pas D'eau. Après, elle ouvre la boite DE cerises.

Imagine you are talking to someone about food, perhaps you want to show him the superiority of German food. As the conversation develops you talk about eating habits in general, and about your eating habits in particular.
You might have to answer the following questions: Do you like to go to restaurants? What kind of restaurants do you prefer? What kind of food dou you like best? What food do you really dislike?`What is your attitude towards food? Should it be healthy or should it just taste good? Are you particular about food?

Mein Text:

I think it is very difficult to describe what most german like to eat because nowadays the Ge rmans eat internationally . Very popular for example is the Italian food. The Germans eat often noodles with tomato-sauce and pizza. Of course potatoes are very popular. I think it is typical of the Germans to eat potatoes with gravy, meat, peas and carrots.
I like salad very much, vegetables and low-fat meat and fish. Of course I like it very much to go to the restaurant, I like best the Chinese-food with rice, vegetables and so on. This food tastes very good and it's very healthy, but it's a pity that it is so expensive. I would like to eat it every day.
I really dislike fat meat, food with a lot of oil or a lot of sugar. I dislike beans too. I think it is very important that food tastes good! If food tastes bad but is healthy nobody wants to eat it. I think that healthy food also can taste good. You can eat fresh salad with low fat chicken and as a dessert a low fat fruit yoghurt. That tastes very good!
I am very particular about food! It is important for me to be healthy and so I don't smoke, either. I like eating very much and so must the food must have a good quality.

Lieber Richard, es wäre sehr nett, wenn Du den Text mal durchschauen könntest. Ich weiß, dass er sehr einfach gehalten ist - aber ich bin einfach nicht besser.
Sag mir doch einfach mal Deine Meinung dazu.

Tjaaaa, also ich war bei dieser phrasal verb Sache total hilflos. Ich weiß auch nicht, was dieser Schwachsinn soll. In meinen Lehrheften ist auch nicht ein einziges phrasal verb davon zu finden. Mach Dir damit nich zuu viel Mühe. Dann las ich die Aufgabe halt aus.

aber phrasal verbs habe ich da nicht gefunden. Mhhh, was meinst Du, muß ich mir deswegen ein neues Buch kaufen??

Do vegetarians lead more healthy lives?

Consider possible arguments for or against vegetarianism and give a personal comment. (Write 300 - 400 words. Don't forget to structure your thoughts.)

Generally speaking, a vegetarian is a person who does not eat meat, fowl, fish or any products such as bonemeal, animal fats or gelatin. Vegetarians live on a diet of grains, pulses, nuts, seeds, vegetables and fruit - some vegetarians eat eggs, milk and milk products. Vegetarians who avoid all flesh and meat products, and eat only plant-based foods are called vegans.

Generally, vegetarianism is practiced for moral, ascetic, or dietary reasons, also for eating-fashion and for health. These are popular motives for taking up vegetarianism and vegetarian eating.

Many people believe the vegetarian way of eating is healthy, lower fat food choices and calorie control are important no matter how you eat. Of course there are many food which have a high fat intake. Foods like eggs, cream, butter, whole milk products and cheese contain many unnecessary calories. Some vegetarian protein sources, such as nuts and seeds, are also high in fat. Despite all the hidden fat in vegetarian diet, you can still reap the benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle while trying to lose weight.
I think that vegetarians lead more healthy lives, because they eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, also a lot of potatoes, noodles and rice. The most of them I know eat low-fat and this is very healthy.

Vegetarian food is widely available in most shops and eating places. Vegetarian food is easy to cook - many of your snack meals may already be 'vegetarian'. And there are lots of delicious vegetarian recipes and vegetarian flavors to choose from. Meat supplies a range of different minerals and vitamins, becoming a vegetarian means eating a wider variety of foods than meat-eaters. Because only a variety of vegetarian foods can deliver the nutrients for a healthy diet.
A healthy eating guideline I read has been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease and some cancers. The key is the word ‘balanced’ – just as it is for meat eaters. To eat healthily, whatever your diet, it’s important to eat a variety of different foods, without too much fat, salt or sugar.

It ist very unhealthy to eat a lot of meat and fat, fast food and instand meals. Thes epeople put on more and more weight and some years later their health is much impaired.

hier mein summary. Ich schreib Dir den Originaltext mit auf (unter a), mein summary darunter (Text b). Könntest Du mir bitte Deine Meinung dazu sagen (ganz ehrlich)??

a) On Saturday Queen Elizabeth opened Britain's first purpose-built Aids ward. She met nine homosexual patients who are Aids sufferers, in the ward of Middlesex Hospital, London. She firmly shook hands with them and pointedly did not wear gloves.
Her visit lasted twenty minutes longer than planned as she sat on their beds and chatted with them. One of the Doctors, Professor Adler said:"It was a memorable visit. We hope that this gesture will make people realize that they need not be afraid to catch disease through social contact."

Text b)

Ich habe jetzt alle Phrasal verbs, die ich gefunden habe auf kleine Karteikarten geschrieben und werde sie nach und nach lernen. Darum habe ich auch die 2 Texte, die ich machen wollte nicht geschafft (sind noch nicht ganz fertig). Kannst Du mir eventuell bei folgenden Verben die phrasal verbs sagen? Ich find die einfach nicht. Ich hab jetzt alle möglichen Bücher durch und schon nen ganzen Stapel gefunden, aber DIESE nicht:

diese Aufgabe ist mir ein Rätsel.
Put the following sentences into the past tense and underline the verb form.

Ich weiß nicht in welche Zeit ich das umändern soll. "Past Tense", was heißt das? Simple Past, Past Perfect, oder???
Ich hab mir das irgendwas zurechtgeschustert.
Ich hoffe, dass Du nicht die Krise bekommst. Ich wußte irgendwie nicht, was ich da machen soll.

Aufgabe 1:

a) You must not smoke in here.
You were not allowed to smoke in here ? (habe ich da jetzt ne neue Zeit kreirt??)

b) I will have to leave very early in the morning. (Warum hat man euch hier einen Future-Satz gegeben. Schwachsinn!) I had to leave very early in the morning.

c) He must apply for a new passport.
He had to apply for a new passport.

d) I have to give you a new one.
I had to give you a new one.

e) You are not to wear those torn trousers.
You were not (supposed) to wear those torn trousers.

f) She won't have to come again.
She didn't have to come again.

g) They haven't got to go back, have they?
They didn't have (need) to go back, had they?

h) You needn't listen to him.
You didn't have to listen to him.

i) She has got high fever and mustn't get up for a few days.
She had got high fever and was not allowed to get up for a few days.

Ich bin sicher, dass ich diese Aufgabe katastrophal gelöst habe. Ich wußte nicht, was die von mir wollen.

Nächste Aufgabe:

Bei As und Like mach dir nicht zu viel Ärger, da hier auch im Britischen und US-Amerikanischen Unterschiwede bestehen und manchmal beides geht .
Aufgabe 3:

Rewrite the following sentences. replacing the bold verb by a phrasal verb. Underline the new verb form you chose.

a) Can you continue with this project?
Can you go on with this project?

b) Orders must be followed immediately.
Orders must be .........immadiately. ???

(Ich mach diese Aufgabe nicht weiter, hat gar keinen Zweck)
Wo finde ich denn phrasal verbs?? Gibts da irgendwo ne Auflistung wo man sich das raussuchen kann?? Kommentar:

Diese "phrasal verbs" sind mit das Gemeinste, was es bei englischen Verben gibt! Sie sind vor allem im mündlichen Sprachgebraucht zu finden. Sie bestehn aus einem Grundverb(das in der Bedeutung sehr allgemein ist und kaum weiterhilft) und aus einer Präposition oder Adverb.Kombiniert ergeben beide Teile einen neuen Sinn, der sich aus den Einzelteilen nicht erschließen lässt.

Beispiel: GO on?????? Aber "go+on" =continue = weitermachen!

für alle diese Ausdrücken gibt es meist EIN eindeutiges Verb,
das international viel besser zu verstehen ist.

to turn up???????????????? Grübel! Aber
to appear? Na klar=erscheinen auftauchen

Entsprechende Listen sind emdlos. Man muss einfach sammeln. Versuch mal bei WWW Ego4U was zu finden.

Bei ego4you habe ich auch nichts ausführlicheres gefunden.

Heute schreibe ich noch 2 ausführliche Texte, die setze ich dann heute abend rein oder morgen - ich weiß noch nicht wie schnell ich das schaffe.
