Write a letter to a friend telling him about the exciting trip you took to South America. You were in Argentina and you also visited Buenos Aires.
Dear Peter!
I want to tell you something about my last trip to Argentina. It was a very exciting and interesting trip!
I liked Buenos Aires best. It lies in the centre of thousands of square miles of the most fertile farmingland in the world. Its physical structure is a mosaic as varied and diverse as its culture. The city has no dominating monument, no natural ,monument that serves as its focal point. Instead, Buenos Aires is composed of many small places, intimate details, and tiny events and interactions, each with a slightly different shade, shape and character.
It was really great and interesting! I saw glass-sheated skyscrapers which cast their slender shadows on 19th century victorian houses; tango bars hazed with the piquant tang of cigar smoke face dusty, treasure-filled antique shops across the way.
Buenos Aires is quite different from our living in Germany. The city's neighbourhoods are small and highly individu alized, each with its own characteristic colors and forms.
Buenos Aires has a lot of different cultures, it is not so boring like Germany! In the San Telmo district, the city's multinational heritage ist embodied in a varied and cosmopolitan architecture - Spanish Colonial design couples with Italian detailing and graceful French Classicism.
I love this port-town very much and in next year I want to travel to Argentina again. But I don't like it that in Argentina there live a lot of very poor people and the rich people don't help them!
