Hallo Richard!
Ich habe die Beantwortung von 2 Fragen auf.
Ist das soweit ok, was ich geschrieben habe?
Könntest Du mich auf Fehler hinweisen?
a) What do you think life would be like if writing had never been invented?
If writing had never been invented, most forms of communication would be impossible. We couldn't learn anything about other cultures, because not every one can travel to all countries. We wouldn't have maps and most people wouldn't know anything about the continents. We wouldn't have a culture, we would know less about our past. All people would be badly educated. We wouldn't have newspapers, books, magazines and computers. We wouldn't know what happens in other countries. We couldn't write letters to our family an friends. We wouldn't have a progress economy. The pupils couldn't learn very much at school. We wouldn't have democracy perhaps, because all people would be so badly educated that they would perhaps never hear anything about politics and democracy. We wouldn't have a real science, because no new knowledges, realizations or ideas could be written down. We would live like in the ancient stone age.
2.) What sort of materials ( books, magazines, newspapers, brochures, reports, etc.) do you prefer to read yourself?
I prefer to read books and magazines. My favorite subjects are history, health and psychology. Reading is an interesting hobby. I like to read a lot of books - often 3 books in a month. It is better than watching TV, because you can decide for the programme by yourself. My favorite magazine is "P.M. History", because you can read a lot of interesting texts about history and the authors often give tips for books which are interesting to read. This magazine has great pictures, so you can imagine how it was in the past. This magazine often discusses interesting subjects! Everybody can learn a lot from this interesting magazine.
My favorite books are historical biographies and discussions about the First and second World Wars, there are a lot of interesting interpretations from well educated historians.
